Madagascar Viti Mission 2018

Fianarantsoa, Madagascar Viti / Vini Field missions

From Friday 19 to Saturday 27 October 2018

 

INTERCO organized the mission in 2018 with the objective of establishing a wine cooperation in the region of Fianarantsoa. The director Christine PECASTAINGTS accompanied Stéphane BADET (from Lycée Blanquefort/ EPL Bordeaux Gironde) and Jean-Philippe ROBY (from BSA/ISVV) and they were able to meet the whole Malagasy wine ecosystem as well as the producers, the training part…

From these meetings was born the MADVIGNE project which benefited from the financial support of the ADEFSA (higher education).

This project concerns essentially the implementation of specialized training modules thanks to the participation of trainers of the ISST, their coming during the Vinitech-Sifel trade show in December 2020.

But also with the setting up of an analysis laboratory that does not exist until now in Madagascar. This laboratory will allow the analysis of the chemical composition of the wine on the basis of oenology with acidity, pH, sugar, potassium, SO2, alcoholic degree. It will be one of the fundamental tools for the improvement of Malagasy wines.
