For its first edition, VINITECH INNOVATION TOUR was organised in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Organised by 4 major actors of the wine sector (INNO’VIN, the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences, INTERCO Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Vinitech-Sifel), VINITECH INNOVATION TOUR is programme with different actions created to promote abroad latest innovations developed in Bordeaux, Cognac and more widely at national level.
Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, considered as the Black Sea hub opening up to the Russian market to the North and the Armenian and Azerbaijan market’s to the South, hosted the first VINITECH INNOVATION TOUR in June 2019. This country, with a wine-growing tradition that dates from several thousand years, is now experiencing a new economic boom and is looking for partners to support its development.
Today, the region of 8,000 vintages is experiencing a new economic boom driven by wine tourism and a massive investment policy aimed at relaunching the country, after a strictly productivist era, towards quality wine production.
